Podium vs. ServiceTitan
Podium is the AI Operating System for home services: one platform combining AI employees and a full FSM so your calls get answered, jobs get booked, and your membership program runs without anyone managing it. ServiceTitan is enterprise field service software built for large and complex operations.
What are customers saying about ServiceTitan?
It took us 6 months to go live [with ServiceTitan]. We started in June or July, and we went live in January.

There's so much to ServiceTitan that it's hard to use. You can do so much with it, but only if you know how to set it up. Most of us never get there.

Five core platform capabilities across Podium and ServiceTitan
Both platforms have AI. The difference is what the AI does, what it costs, and who it's built for.

1. Platform architecture & core features
Podium combines FSM, phones, payments, reviews, memberships, and three AI employees in a single platform. Your office staff, technicians, and AI employees all work from the same system. What gets booked in the field shows up in the office. What the AI follows up on shows up in the job record. Everyone sees the same thing.
ServiceTitan's core platform is the FSM. AI call answering, marketing outreach, advanced scheduling, and phone capabilities are each separate Pro add-ons with their own pricing on top of the per-technician base. User-reported figures across G2, TrustRadius, and Capterra put that base between $245 and $400 per technician per month.
2. After-hours call answering
Podium includes an AI employee named Larry who can answer every call 24/7, collects the customer's details, and books the job onto your calendar without anyone on your team involved. These capabilities are included in the base price.
ServiceTitan has an AI Voice Agent that books jobs, handles after-hours calls, and recognizes existing customers. It is priced separately on a usage basis, starting at $2.75 per call, on top of the monthly per-technician subscription.

3. Maintenance and membership outreach
Podium offers an AI Membership Coordinator as a paid add-on that identifies which maintenance customers are due for a visit, sends them a text, checks your real schedule, and books the appointment. No one on your team has to manage the list or places a call.
ServiceTitan's membership tools send reminders when service dates are approaching and can schedule recurring visits. Setting up those visits requires configuring seasonal scheduling rules and invoice templates manually for each service type. Automated text outreach to membership customers requires Marketing Pro, a separate paid add-on.
4. Estimates, invoices, and getting paid
Podium gives technicians a mobile app to build estimates from a flat-rate price book, collect payment by card reader on site, and send invoices before leaving the driveway. When a customer does not sign an estimate on site, Larry can also follow up by text automatically. When an invoice goes unpaid, reminders go out at day three, seven, and 14. All of it is included in the platform.
ServiceTitan's mobile app also supports estimate building and on-site payment collection. Automated SMS follow-up for unsigned estimates and payment reminders require Marketing Pro, a paid add-on.

5. Back-office management
Podium includes Operator, your AI business manager. Every morning Operator can surface what is open, overdue, and needs attention before the day starts. Operator follows up on unsigned estimates, sends reminders on unpaid invoices, fills open slots by reaching out to customers due for service, and recovers leads that never got a callback. You can also ask Operator a direct question about your business in plain language and get an answer without building a report.
ServiceTitan includes Atlas, a conversational AI built into the platform. You can type or speak in plain English to ask Atlas to run reports, find jobs, dispatch a technician, or navigate the system. Atlas surfaces business insights like booking rate trends and can execute tasks inside ServiceTitan when you direct it to.

How Podium and ServiceTitan compare
Podium
ServiceTitan
Choose Podium if…
You run a residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or garage door business with 3 or more trucks and want one system for calls, dispatch, memberships, payments, and reviews.
Calls are going to voicemail after hours or your maintenance list isn't getting worked.
You want to be up and running in weeks, not months.
Choose ServiceTitan if…
You're looking at a specific ServiceTitan feature. Compare the exact package you'd be on, not the platform overall.
What switching from ServiceTitan to Podium looks like
Most businesses are fully live in 10 to 14 days. Here is how it works.

1. Data migration
Podium's onboarding team helps you migrate your contacts, job history, price book, and memberships, there's nothing to figure out on your own.
2. We set up Podium around your business
Your calendar, services, technician availability, AI, and phones get configured before your team ever logs in.
3. Your team gets trained
Your office staff and technicians learn the platform through live sessions. Most techs are comfortable with the mobile app in their first shift.
4. You go live with Podium
Your phone numbers move to Podium and everything routes through one system. Both platforms run in parallel until your team is confident, which for most businesses is around day 10.
